Our guests say...

"Fantastic views and fabulous facilities"

Akvinder, 02/09/2011

"We really enjoyed our stay. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed. It was so lovely to wake in the morning with the sunrise, and then listen to the skylarks while having breakfast and looking at the view. The facilities were so good, a lovely washroom and plenty of hot water even though it was all solar heated. They seemed to have thought of everything. It was nice to have the welcome breakfast hamper of local foods, very enjoyable."

An environmental concern

hebridean

Catherine is conscious of all the energy she uses - hence the plans for a wind turbine on site. The wooden washroom is made locally from sustainable timber and insulated with sheep’s wool and the spring water supply is fed by a large underground lake. The tourism experience has been kept as sustainable as possible and they hope to be able to continually reinvest in the land to increase its environmental value.

As well as the native breed cattle and sheep at the farm, there are also lots of opportunities to see wildlife. Buzzards ride the thermals and soar up and down the valley and the peace and quiet are broken only by birdsong.
