The bus has been a project long in the making. A loving restoration has turned the well-worked 60s vehicle into a cosy bolthole, giving it a second lease of life and a whole new look with soft wood-colours and homely fabrics. There’s a wood burner to keep you warm, and plenty of room for napping and cooking. The bathroom hut just a few steps away contains a lovely gas powered roll-top bath where you can have a soak with a view (there's a wood burner here as well for when it's really chilly!)
The area around the Majestic Bus has been treated with no less care than the bus itself. The big Dutch barn hides the site from the house and on the other side is nothing but fields for miles, so you’ll be hard pressed to see another soul. The garden area has a fire pit and big cut logs for seats as well as the decking sun trap by the bus and two level grass pitches, either for extra tents or for shaded lazing on long afternoons.
In the surrounding area you’ll find a wealth of things to do from the cultural spot of Hay to adventure sports in the Brecon Beacons, but if you’re tempted just to relax in the bus for a glorious, languid week, we wouldn’t blame you.
