Ges the Horsebox - Truck in Surrey
Suitable for children of all ages
Not suitable for pets
Children under 18 very welcome. Sorry no pets.
It was understandably love at first sight when Yvonne and Gary first met Ges, a 1970s horse truck who had been left neglected for the past 10 years. They’ve carried out the whole renovation with a dash of fun; with the addition of a huge, comfy cabin bed (as well as a sofabed for two extras) and plenty of bright retro furnishings, they’ve thought of not only all the essentials you might need, but also a few things you never realised you needed - anyone for a panini made in the Panini campfire toaster? Then there's your private bathroom, originating from a similar stable background... 'Baby Ges' is a converted pony trailer complete with hot shower and compost loo, just a few steps away from big Ges.
Down a quiet country lane, in the middle of an idyllic wooded meadow, you feel like you’re miles from anywhere - it'll be hard to believe you're not much more than an hour's drive from central London. You’ll wake up to butterflies in the long grass, and the peace and quiet of the surrounding Surrey farmland. A basket and blankets are provided for you to picnic on Ges’s veranda or take exploring in the woodland, the beach is about an hour’s drive away, and there are plenty of pretty villages and towns discover in between.
***Ges is one of our roaming places and is currently resting her wheels in a beautiful woodland wild flower meadow, NOT the hilltop featured in the photos above***
