Ben Lomond – Stirling
- Yurt for 4
1 double bed, 1 double futon.
The three Trossachs yurts are a fusion of Krgyk design and local materials which create a homely, earthy feel. Thick rugs, rough tapestries and wood-burning stoves add touches of comfort to the traditional Mongolian dwelling. Ben Ledi and Ben Lomond yurts share the woodland just a little way on from Stuc a’Chroin yurt and the two together make a great family camp. In each yurt there is a double bed and a double futon, plus a single futon which can be added so that they can sleep five. From the boardwalk leading to the well equipped communal kitchen, there are impressive views across Flanders Moss National Nature Reserve, from which West Moss Side Farm, the home of Trossachs yurts, takes its name. There’s arts and crafts courses aplenty here including willow and felt crafting, spoon carving, paper making, Japanese block printing, batik dye work and mosaics. There are also yoga courses on offer and an abundance of very local produce from the revitalised kitchen garden and the cattle that graze on the moss. With all this plus the beauty of the lochs and the Arrochar Alps to explore, you won't be short of ways to make your stay memorable.

Our guests say...
"We loved it! We received a warm welcome and the yurt was beautifully decorated and cosy. Great facilities and everything we needed was provided. Lots of info about the local area as well as a dual camper stove and wood burner, even hot water bottles and a dog bed! Excellent. The wood burning stove was great as the weather was really cold. It kept us nice and cosy at night which was essential especially as we have a one year old, a fire guard was provided which was a nice touch as well as plenty of wood. It doubled as an oven which we baked potatoes in too :-)"
