About the owners - special occasion specialists!
Davina Stanley is an interior designer and events director who built the boat from scratch 2 years ago to her own design. Its location and style allow guests to take in all the excitement that the city has to offer but retreat to a calm haven of luxury and comfort.
Wildlife & environment
London is traditionally more famous for pigeons than parakeets, but On the Water has a unique setting on Regent's canal near London Zoo and the Cedric Price Avery. The banter of the monkeys and the sounds of tropical birds come floating over the water to the boat, mixing a little of the exotic with the urban.

Walk until you see the canal on your left and have passed Feng Shang Princess, the floating Chinese restaurant, also on your left, at which point you will find Prince Albert Bridge. You can see the boat as you cross... see part II

Part II - the last few steps
Once you are on Prince Albert bridge, continue across until there is no more water beneath you. At this point you will find a secret gate with a "Private" sign attached to it. Open the gate and walk down to the path until you reach another locked gate. You will be met here and shown to the boat. If you reach Outer Circle, The Zoological Society or The Prince Albert Gate into Regent's Park, you have gone too far.
At On the Water
There are endless possibilities for adding a little something to your stay On the Water. The owners can kit out the boat for any occasion and organise any kind of surprise. You could have your very own skipper whip you round to Little Venice for lunch or take a longer trip and tutor you in the arts of captaincy, working locks, rope handling and all sorts. Get in touch with Davina after booking to see what they can do. The boat is perfectly well stocked for keeping you entertained but it's hard not to want to venture out when on your doorstep waiting for you is...
Museums, galleries, the theatre, shopping, entertainment and dining is all around you. A good place to look for a full list of events and attractions is Time Out magazine. The following is a small sample of some close and some simply world famous sites.

Camden Market (5 mins walk) - Originally a craft market, now incredibly diverse and one of London's top tourist attractions
Little Venice (15 mins walk) - A beautiful area of art galleries and waterways
Covent Garden (30 mins walk) - One of the most famous London sights - street theatre, music, food & drink
Notting Hill (40 mins in a cab) - Site of the World Famous carnival
The Royal Academy (40 mins walk) - An independent, privately funded institution for all the arts
Hyde Park (50 mins walk) - Another great place for boating, roller-blading, cycling, walking, music and of course the open air exhibitions of The Serpentine Gallery.
The South Bank and Tate Gallery (1 hour walk) - The home of some great art, both modern and classic
At On the Water
The boat comes with a well stocked bar and for breakfast there's a supply of granola, dried fruits, nuts, preserves, breads and juices. Aside from a toaster and a kettle on the boat and a bbq on the mooring, there are no cooking facilities, but with so many great places to eat nearby, who needs them?
Your nearest shop, of many of course, is in Primrose Hill Village, five mins walk away.
Pubs & restaurants
There are of course, a few more places to eat and drink in London than we can list here, but the following are all no more than five minutes walk from the boat...
Odette’s – One of London's original dining rooms, now run by acclaimed chef Bryn Williams
York & Albany - A Gordon Ramsay restaurant with a Mediterranean menu
Manna - London’s (and possibly Europe's) first gastro vegetarian restaurant
The Lansdowne - A stalwart of the Gastopub scene since 1992
The Engineer - Relaxed, informal atmosphere and quality pub food
