Le Grand Abri – Dordogne
- Yurt for 2
an extra yurt is available for another 2 guests
Chez Devalon Yurts lies on the slopes of the Dordogne, in countryside that epitomises southern France from its red tiled rooftops to its dusty country lanes. In their pastoral paradise Wendy and Matt have created two fabulous yurt camps, Les Abris and La Cabushe, using local wood and Matt’s long experience of willow working.
Les Abris is made up of two yurts that share the terraced kitchen and the batroom. The yurts have been decked out with found, foraged and locally made items that come together to form a luxurious, peaceful space perfect for two couples away together. A cake and a bottle of wine wait for you on arrival and then there’s nothing more to do but sit back and soak up the sounds of sleepy southern France.
Le Petit Abri, a slightly smaller, privately situated yurt, is available for up to two extra guests. Please call to enquire. For even larger groups, you can take the whole site and sleep up to 15 people in a variety of accommodation. Having the whole site would mean that you could bring kids and also use the pool!
Kids cannot be accommodated at Chez Devalon except as part of a booking for the whole site. Pets will be considered but at the owners discretion because of their own menagerie of rather varied animals.

Our guests say...
"Enjoyable and different. A very friendly family own the yurts, and nothing is too much trouble for them. They really seem to have thought of everything."

"We had a wonderful stay. We were so well looked after by our hosts, Wendy and Matt. Chez Devallon is in a stunning location and the whole experience was even better than we had hoped. The yurt was brilliant, and the location is beautiful, with views of the sunflower fields and amazing shooting stars at night. We loved hiring the bikes for a few days and cycling to local towns."
