Moroccan-style tent waiting for you among the orange trees. The spacious 5m bell tents can sleep a family of four comfortably or a couple with room to spare; bathrooms are shared but close by. Breakfast is included and served on La Terraza with fabulous views, where you can also arrange for an evening meal to be served. Inside the tents you'll find simple and comfortable furnishings, lit only by candle lanterns, and outside the tents you'll find avocados, the pool, and the huge communal caña shala - an incredible space for a nap, for yoga workshops, or just a sit in the shade. It was a labour of love that brought the local community and more than 4000 Spanish canes and bamboos together. The structure, built without a single straight edge, is lit at night with subtle ground lighting and has surround sound stereo to make evening gatherings atmospheric.

The story of Casa de Laila and its owners is one of long journeys ending in beautiful places. Benjamin and Anne Marie, your hosts, have come from afar to settle at Casa de Laila and would like to welcome you to their little piece of paradise.

Our guests say...

We stayed in a bell tent at Casa de Laila for 4 nights in August 2015. As regular campers, our trip our a real treat. Not camping as we know it! The tent itself was nestled between orange trees, with a hammock outside which had wonderful views. We enjoyed lighting the lanterns and candelabra in the evenings and slept very well on the extremely comfortable bed. Casa de Laila is a stunning location - the setting is beautiful with views over the mountains. The owners, Benjamin and Anne Marie, are gracious hosts and ensured that we had everything that we needed, from the moment arrived snd throughout our stay. Anne Marie is a fantastic cook and her meals come highly recommended - we enjoyed a delicious meal on the terrace one evening with vegetables that were grown on their land. Breakfast is served each morning on the same terrace and is simple but wholesome - bread, yoghurt, honey, fruits, muesli, eggs etc For glamping guests, there is a shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Although fairly basic, they contain everything you might need during the stay. I would highly recommended glamping at Casa de Laila and am looking forward to returning in the future.

It was amazing! So relaxing, and very warm!

"Had an absolutely brilliant week, beautiful bell tents, warm hospitality and stunning location along with great knowledge of the local area from our hosts meant we could make the most of our week."

"We really did have a fantastic break. Casa de Laila is a magical place. Anne Marie's cooking is wonderful and the village of Alhaurin el Grande is a lively place with a great choice of restaurants and tapas bars. Best thing was the atmosphere of relaxation and friendliness. The pool area was a beautiful oasis with different areas to relax in the sunshine or shade, places to sit and chat or be on your own to read a book. The two meals that we had were special too, out on the terrace looking out over the mountains and Alhuarin el Grande at night. Magical. Oh, and  loved the hammock too! Worst thing - didn't understand the food arrangements, that nothing would be available for us. It would have been useful to know to pick up some food on the way as there was fridge and dry storage. We arrived hungry mid afternoon and didn't eat til the evening. It was explained when we got there but were too tired to go out to the village to shop, and then back in the evening for our evening meal. So that spoiled our first day a bit, but the guy who works there, kindly found me some fruit to keep us going."

"It was wonderful. So relaxing, beautiful views, delicious food and friendly service. It was the perfect place to relax and it was never busy, sometimes we were the only ones by the pool. You feel like you're getting a luxury holiday, without having to pay ridiculous prices and share a pool with hundreds of guests! "

"We had a fantastic holiday. It was exactly what we needed, a stunning setting with orange trees surrounding all the bell tents and superb hospitality from Anne Marie and Benjamin."
