Barrow glaming information
- Check in time is 4-7:30pm except in March or October, when it’s from 3-6:30 due to shorter daylight hours
- Check out time is 11am
- Guests are welcome to keep their car in the car park after checking out until 5.00pm that day. Walkers and cyclists can leave their belongings in reception until 5.00pm, but we can’t take responsibility for their loss or damage.
- Huts do not have:
- Electricity
- Mod cons
- Anything remotely to do with the 21st Century!
- So all you need to bring are your clothes, your spirit of adventure and shampoo!
- Wood-burning stove in hut with hotplate and oven
- Campfire cooking equipment supplied
- Brilliant army cool box with freezer blocks
- Kitchen basics are provided: tea, ground coffee, sugar, 50cl of milk, pasta, porridge oats, honey, cooking oil, salt and pepper.
- 2 showers and 2 compost loos in shared wash hut
- Water taps are located around the site
- Off-grid (so no electricity, no sockets, no power supply)
- Wood burner
- Hurricane lamps, tea light lanterns and LED lantern/torch
- Feather duvet and pillows with cotton bed linen and towels for two people included (for either 1 double bed or 2 singles).
- Hypo-allergenic duvet and pillows available for the double bed or two singles
- Owner of property happy to charge your phone at their house, but unfortunately no hairdryers etc
- Games: Playing cards, Cribbage board and rules, dominoes.
- Books: Observer’s guides, Famous Five, various country related books.
- Large scale OS local area map, with walks marked. Wriggly Tin Visitor’s Guide.
- Bicycle hire: £15 per day (best to book in advance).
