The Bower Treehouse

The property was easy to find but still secluded in amongst the trees. It was very peaceful and the surroundings are beautiful with only bird song and a babbling brook for company. The large barbecue area was also very good. It was very therapeutic to be a little "off grid"! The outside bath was brilliant to relax in and gaze at the night sky. Inside was comfortable with everything you need and the welcome pack in the kitchen was great. Also the information pack was very good with lots of great suggestions. There are some nice walks in the area and we walked to Alfreds Tower and were rewarded with spectacular views from the top. Overall we wanted peace and quiet and relaxation which we very much got.

My husband and i celebrated our 40 th wedding Anniversary at The Bower Treehouse . It was magical. Everything and more that you could wish for made even more perfect by the outside bath under the stars and canopy of the trees with a glass of bubbles . One word describes our weekend PERFECTION . AI booked this stay for our 25th wedding anniversary and what can we say, it didn’t disappoint it was absolutely beautiful! The attention to detail with all the facilities and just little things like not having to worry about toiletries or the kitchen essentials was so lovely. The tree house was spotless and the space to sit and have a bbq or just sit around the fire pit surrounded by nature was just perfect! Would definitely love to return.

The only sound I could hear was nature, and the outdoor bath was an extraordinary experience. Who else can say they’ve had a bath halfway up a tree?

We had a wonderful time here! It really is a stunning place - well designed and decorated, and in a beautiful and peaceful location. We enjoyed the seclusion and nature very much, and the outdoor bath was a delight.

The treehouse and the setting are stunning. With the sound of the birds and the stream below make for an idyllic setting. The bedroom and toiletries etc also great. The outdoor tub is also great but would have been a different story if the weather hadn’t been so good. Please take the following as constructive criticism. The cost per night is not cheap at over £350 per night so one would expect the best for that kind of money. The tub needs a fold away canopy or wing so if raining people can still use it. The toaster is minging to say the least so we didn’t use it. The dining table is too small even for two people. The sheepskin rugs in the lounge need cleaning or throwing out as they are dirty and not needed. Put an electric kettle in as if boiling the kettle then there is only one hob ring free, give people the choice. Overall we felt the whole place just felt very tired and needs a few pounds spending on it, when you are commanding such a high price per night things should be perfect and it wasn’t.The website mentions stargazing at night but when the skylights are very dirty you can’t see out of them. Lovely stay, fairytale quality and beautiful location. Shower wasn’t particularly clean, though there were cleaning products in the cupboard. Skylight directly above the bed (no blind) - lovely at night but very bright early in the morning.

We had the most wonderful, peaceful stay in the Bower Treehouse. The instructions before staying about the place, what was provided and how to get there were very clear and easy to follow. Hannah, the manager, was friendly and efficient. The Treehouse itself is incredibly special and unique, one of the most romantic places I’ve ever stayed! Everything felt top quality and carefully thought through.

We selected the Bower Tree house after receiving a gift voucher to stay in a treehouse as a 40th birthday gift. After searching for a while this really was the only contender from the start albeit a little pricier than others but was truly worth it.

Super relaxing and lovely to switch off from the world! We really liked the check in with the lanterns and finding our treehouse and loved the sound of the running stream.

Our stay was absolutely amazing, the Bower treehouse is incredible and beautiful. I surprised my fiance with this stay and he was blown away. It's so quiet, peaceful and it was wonderful to disconnect from our phones and reconnect with nature. We really enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine and saying hello to a friendly squirrel. We basically became big kids, in a treehouse, playing boardgames, enjoying the sunshine and watching the stars at night through the skylight. Already thinking about our next visit.

The bower treehouse is a beautiful space, the architecture and design is impeccable and its very isolated so it is very peaceful and serene. The house had most things that we needed to cook full meals and to enjoy our stay.

We enjoyed grilling outdoors and eating our meals on the deck sheltered by the trees. Lots of fun things to do in the nearby towns, and visiting farm shops to pick up local products was a plus! Somerset apple juice/cider are unparalleled.

We had the most amazing time at The Bower Treehouse for a much needed relaxing weekend. The outside bath had to be the highlight, complete relaxation amongst the trees. Beautiful intimate setting within nature. Was lovely to feel so engrossed in the birds and the trees within the treehouse, the outside bath tub with the complementary bottle of bubbles was a real highlight.

The Bower Treehouse was just incredible. We felt welcome the moment we arrived. The place was spotless and every detail had been thought of; games, bubble bath, bath robes. It made the whole experience feel like home away from home.

Our stay here was just absolutely perfect. We wanted just a night away for a birthday celebration, where we could eat, drink, switch off and just be away from everything and the bower treehouse allowed just that. The decor is all done to a high standard and gives you a beautiful cosy feeling. There really wasn’t anything not to love about this place.

We had a wonderful magical stay. It is not difficult to find the place but it’s also very private. Instructions for everything is clear. The treehouse is beautifully made and the fine details just catered to every of our needs. That bathtub is out of the world. It’s so relaxing to be bathing and looking at the stars or listening to the birds looking at the trees. The bed is comfortable. The house is clean. We enjoyed our stay so much.

Our stay here was truly magical. The treehouse is all on it's own, all you are surrounded by is trees. It's completely private meaning that there is no worry about being overlooked when yo are using the outside bath. Oh, the outside bath! Fantastic. They even provide bubble bath. We spent ages in it, both days that we were there. The weather wasn't great but that didn't matter. We were snug in the treehouse. Lots of things were provided. Including real ground coffee with both a cafetiere and a stove top peculator. The engineering is something to behold We would highly recommend it.

A great place to stay. Easy to find, good parking with clear instructions. Inside and outside the Bower House is outstanding. Very comfortable bed, great outside bath to whirl the night away in your own private location. An evening next to the fire pit was very welcome. Logs were in abundance for the pit and log burner.

This place is beautiful. Wish we could have stayed more than one night. The setting is serene with the stream running by and nothing but trees, birds and wildlife all around. The tree house is a thing of beauty and the furnishings and finishing touches inside create a luxurious feel. The outside bath was a real treat. I had a bubble bath among the trees while drinking champagne, heaven. It's a perfect place to switch off. We loved having no WiFi and just switching off, however we were able to get some phone signal out on the decking and at the car park as we needed to stay contactable. A perfect retreat from our busy lives, we will look forward to visiting again and it is rare we choose to stay in the same place twice! Have already recommended to friends.

Simply perfect! Easy to find, great location, fabulous Treehouse with great facilities. Peaceful amongst the trees and Somerset countryside with a little stream below us and birdsong everywhere. Fabulous decking area with lights in the decking and a wonderful bath that you could lie in and watch the stars, then relax by the woodburner inside the trreehouse afterwards, all cosy and warm. The treehouse was very comfortable with luxury thrown in too. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a treat, heated towel rails and fab shower. The copper kitchen linked the two rooms beautifully and the whole treehouse was beautifully designed inside. We came to celebrate special birthdays and we will remember our stay forever with laughter, fun and the most wonderful place to stay in and celebrate.

A really beautiful and magical place. Had an amazingly chilled stay at this beautiful treehouse. Loved living off grid for a couple of days and the owners really have thought of everything to make it a extra special experience. It is well located for days out and we enjoyed some nice long walks nearby. Hope to go back one day……

Such an unusual and gorgeous place. You really feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but it's beautifully furnished and full of luxury touches including the outdoor bath, a comfy bed and plentiful hot water.

It was phenomenal! Completely aelf sufficient and not interrupted at all! Self check in, and then straight into the wilderness to get on with it. The facilities were fantastic, everything thought of! The scenery and setting was just ethereal and stunning.

Our stay was amazing from the moment we arrived!! We were able to check in a little earlier than advertised to make the most of the day!! Walking through the greenery to the bottom of the steps, looking up to see the treehouse was so exciting! The house was so welcoming with cosy trimmings and gorgeous touches. Even a bottle of Moet in the fridge to celebrate our birthdays! We were blessed with beautiful weather so made the most of the bar b q followed by a starlit bath!! Then snuggling in front of the fire! A true little piece of heaven! We didn’t want to leave!!!

The tree house was just perfect!!! Could just unwind and connect with nature, which was exactly what we needed following our wedding. We got to spend time opening all of our cards and reading the messages. I really couldn't recommend this place enough, playing games by the fire, baths under the stars watching the bats.

We chose the Bowerhouse treehouse because of its novelty appeal but having looked at other treehouses, we were sold on the exclusive nature of both the position and the layout of this treehouse. The location was secondary but in fact turned out to be a great position near the quaint town of Bruton with easy access to other parts of Somerset. There are plenty of restaurants, local pubs and places of interest to visit, so all in all a great find.

So pleased to finally get here after 2 previous bookings cancelled due to COVID Lovely 2 nights in the stunning Bower Treehouse . One of the most comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in . Loved having a hot bath listening to the stream flowing whilst sipping Champagne, Bliss ! Beautifully built Treehouse with a comfy top quality interior. Peaceful haven amongst the trees. Relaxing listening to the stream running under the treehouse. Enjoyed the bath in the evening watching the bats fly round as the stars started to appear. Another touch of luxury was the toiletries in the bathroom. Lovely accommodation to get away from a busy life.

The treehouse was beautiful, so well thought out, so peaceful. It was appointed very well and had everything you could need there. I loved the bath and sitting there under the stars in the hot water with a cold breeze was such a unique experience. The lack of phone signal was a joy and ensured I did switch off from my job and really had a holiday.

Fabulous . Like being in our own little paradise. Only criticism would be lack of hot water early in the morning . We had a cold bath the morning we left but you do get get lots of piping hot water later on in the day and into the night . Would thoroughly recommend. 3 days not enough to savour it all . This was a surprise night away for my girlfriend for her 28th birthday. I had wanted somewhere different, somewhere quirky but with that touch of class. I planned to cook a meal for her at the tree house, then have a firepit which is provided and then make use of the gorgeous outdoor bath which is the centre piece of the accommodation. Beautiful stay and my girlfriend and I had the most amazing time.

This stay wasn't our first having used Canopy & Stars but was by far the best. The treehouse was amazing, beautifully decorated and in a lovely location with the brook running underneath the treehouse. This treehouse will hold a place for us because i decided to propose to my girlfriend here and Sarah was amazing in helping me plan it so i could kept it a secret. She helped me with decorating the treehouse whilst i took my girlfriend out for the day and the way she decorated was exactly how i imagined it to be. We had the most amazing, magical stay at The Bower Treehouse for my husbands 30th birthday. We were blown away by how beautifully crafted and designed the treehouse was. The attention to detail was amazing and I loved trying out all the natural skincare products that were left for us. Thank you so much, we would highly reccomend to anyone.

The Treehouse was a 60th Birthday present for my sister. It was an absolutely idyllic venue, perfect in every way. The craftsmanship in building every aspect of the treehouse from the deck and outdoor bath to the wonderful wooden kitchen drawers and beautiful bathroom sink made of stone was exquisite. The beautiful old wood around the bed and the back wall of the bedroom was stunning. The location was fantastic with a stream running underneath the treehouse and a large deck to watch squirrels and birds during the day. At night we could lie in the bath watching the stars and satellites go by, and one night a hunting owl. There were gorgeous places to explore nearby such as Bruton, Hauser and Wirth, Frome, Stourhead and The Newt. We had a mix of weather, sun, rain and clouds but all of the weather was beautiful to experience in the midst of the woodland. We enjoyed the little garden, sitting by the firepit and watching clouds move across the sky and the sunset over the woodland in the distance. Altogether the Bower Treehouse was an absolutely magical experience.

I bought this trip as a present for my Husband's 30th birthday. I wanted somewhere really special and this did not disappoint!! From the outdoor bath, gorgeous countryside, fire pit, local walks, beautiful design and the birds tweeting outside, everything was perfect! It was the perfect mixture between complete luxury and getting in amongst nature - something you often have to choose between.

It was absolutely amazing!! The hosts had left everything needed and even a few extra touches to make the stay extra special. Worth every penny. It is so magical and breathtaking, you won't want to leave! Thank you to the hosts for everything.

The Bower Treehouse is set within some of the most stunning bluebell woodland imaginable. A babbling brook snakes through the woodland, lending the sound of water and wood chip paths have been carefully wound through the woodland, leading over bridges crossing the brook and towards the treehouse. The treehouse has been beautifully designed and decorated internally, with plenty of rugs, sheepskins and comfy furniture. The kitchen is spacious, well stocked and has everything one needs. The bathroom again is well designed and well-stocked, with an additional bath on the outside deck of the treehouse. Overall it was idyllic and we will be going back again!

This was our first trip away post-lockdown, so it was fair to say there was plenty of pressure on this trip to be amazing! It didn’t disappoint, the Treehouse was in the most gorgeous location, with a stream babbling beneath it. The outside bath was divine; if you turn all the lights off you can see hundreds of stars - a gorgeous change from the night sky in London!

It was a wonderful experience! The people we met were very kind and hospitable. We felt really welcomed. The area was very beautiful. We took a bath under the sky and bathed in the serenity of nature. it was a good retreat from the stress and madness of the city.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The treehouse was stunning - an amazing piece of engineering and beautiful craftmanship. And the interiors were gorgeous. It had just all you need, and no more. We were incredibly lucky with the weather so were able to make full use of all the outdoor space - eating on the balcony, taking a lovely long outdoor bath and watching the dusk roll in by the firepit. The self-check in was great too. Arriving to collect your lanterns and the key from a box on the tree set the tone for a luxurious back-to-nature experience.

We had a delightful 3 nights away in the bower treehouse, for our minimoon. It was an incredible experience from start to finish, feeling like we were inside a tree. We particularly enjoyed the bath, the complimentary champagne, the board games, and the large windows & skylights so we could see the first from our bed.

I had originally booked the treehouse as a surprise for our mini moon, unfortunately due to COVID our wedding was postponed but 2020 has proved quite stressful so we decided to keep the trip in and what a great decision that was! The treehouse itself surpassed my expectations, so beautifully built and filled with lovely touches like a mini bottle of champagne chilling on arrival. The fact it has no Wi-Fi or TV left us with an overwhelming sense of togetherness and calm.

I booked the Bower Treehouse as a surprise mini-moon for my new wife and I following our wedding in mid-March. It was a lovely break and change of pace following the chaos of final preparations over the preceding weeks. Being able to get away and relax in the Bower was a wonderful balm, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the environment enjoying an unplugged, slower pace for a few days. It's just a shame we had to leave so soon!!

We arrived on Friday evening from London, and it was just stunning from start to finish. From snuggling up next to the log burner with a glass of wine to having a soak in the bath under the stars! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We also visited nearby Bruton and Frome which were both lovely, great shops in Frome and lovely restaurants in Bruton. The Chapel and Roth Bar & Grill were a highlight. We hope to come again!

I booked the Bower Treehouse as a surprise trip for my fiancée’s birthday. It rained for most of the weekend but we tucked ourselves away, put the fire on, played board games and it was so peaceful. When the rain held off we put on our wellies and ventured to Stourhead,Longleat and Bruton to explore. It was the perfect location.

We had a great stay, it was a very well presented property, lots of oak on the floor & walls with views from every room of the woods & fields beyond. At night you can fall asleep to the sound of the stream that runs below. The only other noise we heard during the day was the birds in the trees. It’s only a short walk across fields from here to Alfred’s Tower on the Stourhead Estate. Definitely somewhere to consider for a revisit.

Relaxing, peaceful, quiet and generally lovely!

We stayed for our mini honeymoon literally the day after our wedding (Friday) through to Sunday. The arrival instructions were spot on and the note, key and lamps easy to find. The walk to the treehouse was nice and easy and very pretty with all the wild flowers and the stream. The little bridges were very cute too. The treehouse was in pristine condition, very clean and very welcoming. We were so impressed with the design and finish on every aspect of it. All the little extras like the local organic bath/shower products were absolutely wonderful, the fire was perfect for the colder evenings and such a treat but the real star of the show was the outside bath. That was amazing both during the day and in the evening. We were sad to leave as the peace and tranquility was just amazing.

We wanted to get away from al the stresses and strains. To spend some quality time in a peaceful place away from it all. We were not disappointed as the treehouse was just the tonic we needed. Very quiet and cosy. We couldn’t fault anything as every little detail was taken care of. There was even a fire pit in the field nearby where you could watch the sun go down with beautiful views. The outside bath is a great idea and the bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have no signal and no tv and get back to the art of conversation. We can’t wait to go back there and will be recommending it to all our friends and family

What a place! We managed to wrestle through the snow to find ourselves walking through Narnia. The level of workmanship that has gone into the treehouse is amazing, the heated bathroom floor was a delightful touch. An outdoor bath in the snow, with clear skies and stars overhead is not something we will ever forget. For anyone on the fence about booking, just do it!

Totally mesmerised with our stay at Bower Treehouse! This was my Christmas present to my husband.

I booked the Bower Treehouse as a surprise weekend away for my boyfriend's birthday. I asked a lot of questions of Sarah, the housekeeper, in advance to which she was very patient and answered all my emails. When we arrived, it was just as I'd hoped: cosy, romantic, luxurious, and all twinkly in the dark. And it set the tone for the rest of our weekend - we stayed in and stayed warm with a fire burning and cooked delicious meals, and we also did a really long walk to The Bull Inn in nearby Hardway through the forest which was great. We also thoroughly enjoyed being disconnected from the world (there was signal reception on Three in some spots but not on EE) with no wifi and no TV. All in all, it was a perfect romantic escape weekend.

I booked this for my wife’s 40th birthday and being near Christmas and possibility of being very cold I was a bit concerned it may be a bad idea! How wrong I was. This treehouse was so warm, without the need for the log burner - the underfloor heating in the bathroom was a really nice touch! The only word I can accurately describe our stay (given the time of year) is Magical! Upon arrival we picked up our lanterns, read the note left and followed the winding path through the woods and over a steam. Amazing! Inside needs to be seen to be believed, the pictures online do not do it justice. Whoever built this has an eye for design and detail - it was so well thought out. We had two nights here and was sad to leave, three days with no phone signal, no TV and complete peace and quiet. Perfect place to unwind and relax. Would like to go back in the summer and experience it again.

Bliss. As advertised but so much more. The decor, wildlife, silence and experience was exactly what two tired bodies and minds needed. You cannot buy in any chemists the same remedy. Perfect.....apart from having to leave.

We were looking forward to peace, calm and space, and we got all of that plus gorgeous surroundings and the most cosy and inviting interior - absolutely perfect!! It was an escape from the norm,in the most comfortable and relaxing way - a highlight was definitely the outdoor bath!

Beautiful treehouse, great location and super stay!

The Bower Treehouse was completely perfect! So romantic, secluded and tranquil. Lying in the beautifully big and boiling outdoor bath, looking up at the swaying trees and listening to the owls was magical. Similarly, lying in the (INCREDIBLY comfy) bed and looking up at the trees swaying, hearing the rain on the skylight but being super cosy was bliss.

Absolutely wonderful weekend away in our luxury treehouse, as good as I'd hoped as it was for a surprise birthday treat - he didn't know we were staying til I got out to find the key! It really felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, rejuvenating, calm, no tv, wifi or even mobile signal meant we could relish in the surroundings, eat lovely food, go for a walk in the nearby woods to the local pub, play games and actually talk. The outside bath really made it and thankfully the weather played ball even in November, though we would have had a great time no matter what.

Our stay was absolute bliss. Such a good reminder of silence, it made us realise how much noise pollution we absorb on a daily basis. Such a good location, we felt completely alone apart from the wildlife. I felt the outside bath maybe wasted on us due to the time of year, not at all, it stayed warm for ages. The standard of the building and the location to lovely walks were beyond our expectations.

We have been wanting to try out a treehouse for ages and when we finally got to The Bower House we were not disapppointed. Despite the fact that it was our stay was during grey autumn weather, it was so lovely to be stuck in the heart of nature away from all our cares!

We had a brilliant, relaxing stay in a very peaceful location. The treehouse was amazing.

The Bower Treehouse is simple, rustic and luxurious at the same time. The location whilst only a few miles out of the lovely town of Bruton, is secluded and tranquil and so peaceful. There is is something very special about lying in a bath surrounded by nature. This place is food for the soul!

It was fantastic - felt very cosy in the treehouse and very well done inside and out. The outside bath was incredible and the firepit was a lovely extra. The demi-bottle of champagne was lovely too - with chilled glasses.

We had a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing stay and really appreciated the secluded setting, peace and quiet and quality and decor of the interior. It was great to be staying someplace where the owner has strong environmental principles too.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. What an amazing treehouse and in a delightful location - it is truly the best place we have ever stayed. All the finishing touches, the food, the toiletries, the garden, the arrival procedures, the champagne.... I could just keep on and on. Waking up to the trees above you and all around you is quite something else. It was a privilege to stay. Huge thanks to Simon & Lulu for building such an amazing treehouse and allowing us to stay there. And to Sarah for making sure all hospitality was arranged - and it was all arranged beautifully.

We had a wonderful time, it was idyllic. Beautiful surroundings and great places to go locally. The treehouse was so well designed and furnished.

Exceeded our already high expectations! The setting and the tree-house itself were both stunning. The never ending list of extra little touches and high quality of the products, along the comfiest bed we have ever slept in, the wood burner and the massive outdoor bath made it an unforgettable and incredibly relaxing stay.

We had the most relaxing three days in this amazing treehouse construction.

We picked a treehouse stay for just one night to recharge our batteries, it was secluded, beautiful facilities, beautiful skylight in the centre of both the main rooms, lovely wood burner and bath tub outside, greeted by chilled champagne. It was magical, different and truely worth it.

A wonderfully relaxing 2 night stay in a very natural and warm treehouse. We admired the design touches and indiviuduality - my husband wants a towel rail in the kitchen like theirs! Bathing outdoors on the deck - we were so glad we went in the winter, it just felt even more amazing. Very impressed at how fast and how hot the water was - we were very wrinkly. Also loved the stream.

We stayed here after our wedding on 28th December. It was just perfect, just what we needed after a busy few days. Very peaceful and extremely comfortable. We went to a couple of local establishments for dinner - these were both recommended by the site. We went for a 6 mile walk using the map in the tree house. Afterwards we returned to a soak in the outdoor bath, under the misty moon - very romantic indeed. The tree house was perfectly done out with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the heating just right.

We had a wonderful stay and the treehouse is as previously described very high spec . Having a bath amongst the trees while stargazing was Bliss! There were a few housekeeping niggles and room for improvment but overall we had a lovely time .

We really enjoyed it, very relaxing after all that preparing and stress leading up to our wedding day, we liked the privacy and the peace, very tranquil just the sound of the stream,birds and cows mooing every now and again, the perfect mini-moon location,the outside bath was nice and i liked the shower in the bathroom plus the heated floor, the walldrobe fasinated me by the way the light came on as you opened it and turned back off as you closed it,definentely return, maybe for our anniversary next year, I've told my friends how wonderful it was and put it on Facebook and instagram, Thankyou for a very relaxing break x

It was one of the most relaxing short breaks we have ever taken. Taking a bath in amongst the trees was very special and the location was so quiet and peaceful, definately a place to recharge your batteries.

We booked the bower as part of a two stop holiday (the second was a C&S venue too). We wanted the ultimate staycation and this appealed to me because my husband is an architect so I knew that he would love the idea of a treehouse. The Bower is like a five star hotel room- the attention to detail is staggering. Trees don't have to mean rustic! It also has the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in. I would love to know what mattress was on it so I can sleep that well at home.

40th birthday surprise for my fiancé. We where both amazed at the beauty of the tree house and how peaceful and relaxed we felt.

I loved our stay at Bower Treehouse. It's such a special space. One that's been lovingly and creatively designed and built by Simon. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is inspiring. The huge bath tub on the deck was a real treat. So much so, that I spent all of Sunday morning, soaking outside, as the rain poured down. One of life's pleasures is a hot bath in the rain... I definitely plan to come back for another stay. Very proud to have this one within the collection.
