At Borough Farm:

Meet the animals, including wonderful rare breed Devon and Cornwall Longwool sheep. At Easter, you can help with lambing activities – lambs have been known to be named after guests!

If you are staying in June, you can help to pick elderflowers from the hedgerows and learn how to make delicious elderflower cordial, a popular gift to take home to family and friends.

Devon yurt offer nature guide books to help you with identifying and appreciating the abundance of wildlife seen at the farm, and each yurt has its own bird feeder.

There is a selection of Board games, guide books, novels and magazines for you to borrow, as well as outdoor games to play.

At Easter, Easter egg hunts can be arranged for children.

Massages and beauty treatments can be arranged – advance notice is required.

Outdoor & Active:

Dartmoor National Park is on your doorstep, and offers an abundance of walks, cycle paths and horse riding routes

In Lydford, walk out onto the open moor – this stunning route, which takes in Bleak House and Widgery Cross, was voted by The Times as one of Britain's best 20 walks.

If cycling is your thing, as well as the trails on Dartmoor there are woodland trails at Tamar Trails, Gulworthy.

The beautiful beaches of the North Cornwall coast are perfect for surfing, rock-pooling and dog-walking.

For those with a head for heights there is rock-climbing on both Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.

Festivals & events

During the summer, most local towns have their own one day agricultural show as well as the larger county shows of Devon and Cornwall county in May and June respectively. Eden sessions offer live music events during the summer months with a variety of artists.
