Essentials
The important stuff
- Check in: from 4 pm
- Check out: by 11 am
- Please bring sturdy walking boots and binoculars to spot the wildlife - and any luxury camping equipment you can't do without.
- Children up to 9 years old (4ft 5") are welcome to stay, sleeping on a roll up bed. A sheet and pillow will be provided and please bring along your own sleeping bag. You are also welcome to bring along an airbed if you would prefer.
- There is pheasant shooting nearby on the estate when in season and also the local Hunt sometimes exercise their hounds here, occasionally passing close to the shepherd huts.

Extra space available
Space for 1 child no charge. - for kids up to 9 yrs old (4ft 5"), on a roll up bed on floor. Please bring your own sleeping bag.
Space for 1 baby no charge. - please bring your own travel cot & high chair
Cooking
- Your basics are provided: matches and kindling and an initial supply of logs for the woodburner and the Kadai fire bowl
- Kitchen equipment is provided including: utensils, chopping board, can opener, bottle opener, plates, mugs bowls, cooking pot and frying pan and a toasting fork for the essential marshmallows!
- A cool box and ice packs are available
Washing
- Private en-suite gas powered shower room in the hut
- The loo is a separating composting toilet, please sit down to use, both ladies and gents! (the separation makes it work)
Heating, lighting & bedding
- All linen and towels provided
- Solar powered halogen lights and lanterns
- You'll be perfectly off-grid so there are no plug sockets
- Wifi available up at the house if you can't survive without it!
Entertainment
- You'll find playing cards, Scrabble, and Backgammon in the hut
