Meet Tim

Tim spends his time often working in London so guests may find him in his cabin or he'll always be at the end of the phone. Joan's Hut has been in the family since the late 80s when Tim's Father, who owned the farm nearby, acquired it. The hut has always been a special space that Tim has hung onto with the dream of making it into something more one day. However, this wasn't an easy job and required a lot of time, passion and effort which has now been crafted into Joan's Hut. Tim lived in the hut for 3 years whilst he was building his dream cabin, which he now lives in. Tim loved the years when he lived in the hut and wants other people to enjoy the experience as much as he did.

Wildlife & Environment

The hut is completely absorbed in nature and wildlife and it's even a few miles away from a main road! Badgers, deers, owls and birds can all be spotted when walking around the space and Tim has even been lucky enough to spot his first kingfisher at the site. There's also been a spotting of deer in the wooded bank above the cabin, however these are quite rare sightings and the animals by their nature are not around when there are people about so they may not be there when you are.
