The best way to get here is to put 'Joan's Hole gin' into Google Maps and it will take you all the way to the top of the private track to a few properties where you will see a hard core track disappearing right down to the bottom of the valley. Follow this and you will find the small car park. The car park is about 200m away from the shepherd's hut. It's on foot from here, over 2 bridges, luggage can be put in wheel barrows if easier.
