Introducing our inspected and selected collection of ski holidays and summer chalets in the French Alps

Welcome to Canopy & Stars Peaks: an inimitable collection of chalet holidays for those who view 'going off-piste' as more than a choice of ski route or summer holiday.

This is a collection of skiing holidays that isn't just about strapping on the planks and hurtling down the mountain (although we do advocate adrenaline-filled adventures); it's also about spending time in the outdoors, getting away from it all and staying somewhere special. That doesn't mean we've ignored the obvious: ski-in, ski-out at Le Grand Bornand, family friendly terrain at Serre Chevalier, Morzine’s modern lifts and snowboard parks, and expert tips for extreme trails at Châtel. It means we've also looked for a bit more: independent owners doing special things, frozen waterfall abseiling, cross-country skiing, husky sledging, guided snowshoe walks and world-class tobogganing.

This is equally true of our collection of summer holidays in the Alps – just because the snow has gone it doesn't mean the adventure has to stop! Wake up to views of wildflower-filled Alpine meadows before setting off on summer hikes, hire bikes and retrace the famous Tour De France route, swim in a lake before returning to a hot tub with breath-taking views or maybe just relax and soak up the sound of distant cowbells whilst writing your debut novel.

Whether you’re looking for family ski holidays with treehouse cabin beds, being awoken by the smell of freshly baked bread at our catered ski chalets or just summer holidays in the Alps away from all the crowds, take a peek through our collection, book online or give us a call on +44 (0)117 204 7830 if you’re experiencing a case of website white out.

From piste to off-piste, snow is top billing for this collection with world-class resorts like Le Grand Massif and Morzine and secret finds like Châtel and Portes du Soleil.  But don’t overlook the extras like having a choice between ski-in, ski-out versus the authentic Alpine feel of a sleepy mountain village, hot tub versus wood-fired sauna and catered versus self-catered.

With an expected 300 days of sunshine a year, summer holidays in the Alps offer a different breath of fresh air. Lakes, mountains, waterfalls, glaciers and views to die for were easy to find. It’s the independent touches we’re most proud of discovering: 1950 Russian chalets, wood-beamed studios, open-air terrace hot tubs and chalets with proper eco-credentials.
