Harptree Court - Bristol, Somerset

An amazing treehouse and a three pod yurt!

Harptree Court is perfectly positioned in the blissful Somerset Countryside. It hosts a luxurious treehouse and a grand three pod yurt. Both are sumptuous, en suite spaces, decorated with the style and flair you would expect from the owners of Harptree Court.

Dating back to 1797, Harptree Court is a dramatic country house with celebrated sculpted gardens that will be your stomping ground. Charles and Linda have been described as the perfect hosts and are full of local hints and tips. Make sure to arrange a breakfast too as they are not to be missed. Later in the day, settle into this gloriously civilised setting and take afternoon tea (with probably the most fantastic lemon drizzle cake in the world), served in the shade of the catalpa tree. The kitchen gardens are also being brought back to full life to provide a range of delicious, seasonal ingredients.

The historic cities of Bath, Bristol and Wells are all close by, while Harptree Court offers plenty for outdoors explorers with Mendip Hills, Cheddar Gorge and Chew Valley Lake all within easy access. Ducks, deer, woodpeckers and birds of prey are all to be spotted around the parkland itself if you want to stay wrapped in the comfort of Harptree Court.

Spreading bellflower

Spreading Bellflower

Linda and Charles are working hard to reduce the environmental footprint of Harptree Court. The delicious food they serve uses local and organic ingredients, with free range eggs from just across the road.

Wildlife

The gardens are host to ducks, woodpeckers, deer, foxes and birds of prey. As the name suggest, there are trees aplenty, while the grassy clearings Harptree Combe are home to the scarce Spreading Bellflower and many other uncommon or local plants.
