Person packing a weekend bag

What to pack for a glamping staycation

So your staycation is suddenly this weekend and you haven’t even begun to pack. Or you’re at the other extreme, you’ve had the bag ready for weeks but want to make sure you haven’t missed anything important, like a toothbrush and underwear. Well, we hope you won’t actually need reminding on the real essentials, but this staycation packing list, made especially for heading out to our amazing glamping spaces, might make you think about the things you wouldn’t take on a less exciting holiday. It’s drawn from our team’s years of trips the advice of our space owners and your reviews, so while you might not need everything, you’ll be glad you read it.

You’ll also be surprised that many of these things are needed all year round. A woolly hat in August? Great for when you’re sitting outside chatting with friends until the early hours, trust us. The same goes for swimwear… hot tubs? Wild swimming? See! Needed all year round.

So here’s our ultimate glamping staycation packing list, minus the underwear and toothbrush, because you wouldn’t forget those now… would you?

Make sure you bring:

  • A torch / head torch
  • Extra layers
  • A waterproof jacket
  • Suncream
  • Swimmers
  • Shower gel / soap (not all spaces provide this)

Would be a good idea to bring:

  • A bag for dirty and wet clothes
  • Slip on shoes
  • Walking shoes or wellies
  • Slippers
  • Warm socks
  • Woolly hat
  • Water bottle

Bring if you like your comforts:

  • Hair bands
  • Lip balm
  • Your favourite tipple
  • Bluetooth speaker
  • Eye mask + earplugs
  • Hot water bottle
