There’s thousands of reasons to go away on holiday. To see the sights, to eat, to shop, to explore, and more. But for many of us, holidays offer the opportunity to reconnect, romantic glamping holidays offer time off in a way that regular city breaks, hotels and conventional stays simply can’t compete with. With no distractions, but that which you bring with you. Your focus is shifted from the social feed, to the path moving under your feet. No getting soaked on the morning commute, just diving headfirst into wild swims – and cuddling by a fire. No likes or hearts on photos edited to look more real than life, just life itself with your love. No midnight wrestles for duvet, just midnight wrestles.
We set the standard for glamping for couples by inspecting every treehouse, every yurt, cabin and shepherd’s hut in our collection. If you’re looking at taking a romantic glamping holiday with your partner, wanting to chase them through sun dappled tree canopies, to watch them let their hair down in a steaming tub on the deck, or doze off book in hand – with them asleep on your chest, then look no further. We’ll see you out there.
When booking glamping for couples, or even considering romantic glamping holidays, you want to know you’re in good hands. We’re one of the only employee-owned companies that aims to champion sustainability, and aims to make a positive impact on the world with all our choices. We specialise only in unique places to stay in nature, and work exclusively with owners who’ve put their heart and soul into a space. Whether you’re looking to adventure, or spend quality time together on a romantic glamping holiday, you’ll find the right place in our collection.
We've rounded up five of our favourite romantic getaways in Scotland. From a cabin with an outdoor bath to an innovative eco treehouse.
There are almost too many incredible spots on Canopy & Stars to consider, and a quick browse through the collection will offer up a long list of spaces you’d be hard pressed to beat, but here’s a selection of a few of our favourites to get you started for your proposal inspiration.
Who we are We don’t simply provide outstanding glamping for couples. In fact, not even just romantic glamping holidays at all. We cater to every need and want when it comes to glamping. We’re a small independent travel company, striving to make a positive impact in the world, and we started with ourselves: we’re part employee owned, with a charitable trust. We want to inspire people to make use of wild and green spaces, and love them like we do.
Why choose glamping When it comes to travel, glamping may well be the most low-impact method you could think of. Glamping for couples, families or even on your own, you can experience the same level of luxury as a boutique hotel, all whilst swaddled in the most breath-taking backdrops imaginable. Share wildflower meadows, peaceful forests, mountains, hillsides, and heathland with your family, or take the partner for a romantic glamping holiday you both deserve.
Our romantic glamping holidays All of our romantic glamping holidays have been personally visited by a member of the Canopy & Stars team, who always stay overnight, ensuring it meets our exacting standards for the most unique spaces in the UK. Whether glamping for couples, or even alone, adventuring in the wilds, or spending quality time together – you’ll find the perfect fit with us.
We care about responsible travel Part family owned, part employee owned, we’re almost as unique as the wild spaces we champion. We’ve established a charitable trust that sees a percentage of our profits spent to help combat climate change, and spend a great deal of time working out how we can contribute more. Sustainability has always been at the forefront of our work, and we strive to make a positive impact with all our choices.
We're majority employee owned, which means we all get a say in how the business is run.
Our Charitable Trust uses 24% ownership of the company to support environmental causes
We're committing to raise £50,000 by 2027 to help protect nature in our national parks.
