Rivers at Risk

The water in the National Parks of England and Wales is, to put it frankly, filthy. Campaign for National Parks have just released their Rivers at Risk Report and the numbers are appalling. On average, sewage overflow within National Parks is twice as high as it outside and just over a quarter of a million hours of sewage flow was recorded in National Parks in 2024.

Do you need a hazmat suit to go wild swimming in a National Park? Maybe not right now, but you will soon unless we do something about it.

Is this really how you want to spend your summer days...

So what can we do?

Campaign for National Parks are calling on people to write to the Water Minister and demand better protection of our waterways.

Our partnership with Campaign for National Parks

The Rivers at Risk campaign is only one part of our work with this inspiring group who are fighting for our green spaces. See what else we’ve been up to as we help them spread the word.
