The coolest A-Frame cabins in the UK

With their distinctive triangular silhouettes, soaring ceilings and glass-fronted views, A-frame cabins are among the most iconic and photogenic glamping stays in the UK. Think light-filled interiors, woodland hideouts, cabins with hot tubs and windows that frame the wild like a work of art, turning every sunrise into a masterpiece.

Whether you’re seeking a cosy escape or a luxurious hilltop retreat, our collection of A-frame cabin holidays brings you closer to nature without compromising on comfort.

A Frame, Herefordshire

Design-led A-Frame cabin

Tucked into a Herefordshire hillside on a stunning eco glamping site, A Frame cabin is a masterclass in design with huge floor-to-ceiling windows. There’s so much to enthuse about, we’re not even sure where to start, but the elevated deck has to be seen to be believed. It boasts a wood-fired hot tub, deluge shower, pizza oven and sublime views over 18 acres of rewilded countryside.

As the sun sets, you’ll want to be happily sat on the wooden loungers with a glass of fizz to make the most of the sunset. In this idyllic spot on the border, you’re within easy reach of the bookshops and markets of Hay-on-Wye and hiking trails in the Black Mountains.

A Frame

Twll Triongl, Powys

Romantic A-Frame cabin with hot tub

Set on the peaceful Castell Cyfeiliog Farm, Twll Triongl blends spa-like luxury with off-grid serenity. With sweeping hillside views, a private hot tub, and a firepit BBQ, it makes for a perfect romantic getaway in the Welsh countryside.

Indoors, a chic kitchen, rainfall shower and modern design details bring comfort, while outdoors, the sunny deck opens onto views that stretch across the valleys. Walk the Glyndwr Way National Trail, surf the coast just 30 minutes away, or browse Machynlleth’s markets and galleries.

The Bivvy, Shropshire

Rustic A-Frame glamping cabin

The Bivvy is a rustic A-frame cabin in Shropshire offering a welcome slice of seclusion. Surrounded by sheep-dotted fields and woodland, it blends beautifully into its setting with upcycled details – think ladders as kitchen shelving, beehive frames turned into wall art, and a rake cleverly repurposed as a shower rail.

As night falls, relax under fairy lights on the porch or gather around the firepit. By day, explore the Shropshire Hills, home to wild ponies, waterfalls, and some of England’s most scenic walking trails. It’s a perfect base for both adventure and downtime.

The Perch, Powys

Luxury A-Frame cabin in Wales

Perched on a hillside with sweeping views of the mid-Wales countryside, The Perch is a luxurious and thoughtfully designed A-frame cabin. Inside, every detail is designed for comfort, with a cloud-soft mattress, bathrobes, luxury toiletries, and even a book telling the story of how the cabin was built.

Outdoors, the hot tub (complete with a shelf for your wine glass) overlooks the valleys, while a firepit terrace sets the scene for starlit evenings. The nearby town of Llanidloes offers artisan shops, pubs and galleries, while the surrounding hills and trails are ripe for hiking and biking.

Offa’s Pitch, Shropshire

High tech A-Frame Cabin with hot tub

Offa’s Pitch gets an A* for A-frame luxury. Tucked away in a quiet paddock surrounded by trees and a babbling brook, the spacious timber-framed cabin blends rustic charm with serious mod cons. We’re talking an iPad Pro with wifi, underfloor heating, designer furniture, LED lighting, a sleek kitchen and gorgeous bathroom.  The huge deck has the obligatory wood-fired hot tub and the total lack of street lighting means the stargazing is out of this world.

There are beautiful hiking and walking routes in the nearby Shropshire Hills and the famous Offa’s Dyke National Trail is a few minutes from the front door. Visit picturesque villages like Clun, home of the famous Green Man Festival, or try something completely different and fly through the skies on a tandem paraglide at Long Mynd Soaring Club.

Waney Cabin, Shropshire

Rustic woodland A-Frame cabin near Bath

Live the simple life in Waney Cabin, a rustic A-frame hideaway tucked among the trees in Campbell Woods, just five miles from Bath. Inside there’s a wood burner and a cosy double bed beneath the sloping roof – all you need for a back-to-nature escape.

The site has communal bathrooms and a shared kitchen where you’ll meet other adventurers, and the owners have created a space designed to reconnect you with the wild. Try yoga, wild swimming, archery, woodworking or campfire cookery, then wind down in the wood-fired sauna. If you fancy a culture hit, the Georgian architecture and foodie scene of Bath are just a short hop away.
