Our most instagrammable cabins

We don’t tend to stray too far into the realms of superficiality but, let’s face it, sometimes you just want that one incredible shot, in that one incredible spot, for Instagram, for your screen saver or for the wall at home. The photo that will make friends and family green with cabin envy. It’s more than just showing off (although that’s fun too), it’s capturing a technicolour memory of a WOW moment, so incredible, that you’ll want to relive it time and time again. Practise your best pose, and take a look at our most Instagrammable cabins. No filters required.

The Spa

When your cabin is a spectacularly designed private spa deep in the Devon countryside, you’re spoilt for choice with Insta-worthy visuals. The entire place is a photo shoot waiting to happen. The heated infinity pool, set at the heart of The Spa, is the obvious place to start snapping. But you won’t be able to resist a few shots of the solid stone freestanding bath in the bedroom, the woodland waterfall shower, the outdoor sauna or the hanging chair on the luxurious deck. Time slows down and it’s impossible to feel anything other than deeply relaxed as you drift between restful experiences and tranquil seating areas. Your healthy glow of well being will shine through in every picture.

Hansel at Hinterlandes

Perched in the Cumbrian mountains, with shingle wood cladding and a moss-covered roof, Hansel provides the ultimate fairytale cabin backdrop, surrounded by trees and mellow, dappled light. The wood fired hot tub on the elevated deck is the perfect spot for a drool-inducing photo, preferably with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand as you gaze through the woods, to the wild hills beyond. On cosy afternoons inside, make sure you capture a shot as you snuggle down with a good book on a bed of cushions, next to the huge panoramic window overlooking the trees. The spectacular walks, scenic lakes and friendly onsite farm animals will tell an Instagrammable story of your magical stay.

A Frame

Pitch perfect, Insta-worthy A Frame makes a big impression in person and in pictures. Rising proudly from the Herefordshire countryside, it’s a jaw-dropping celebration of light and space, with a lofty Mezzanine bedroom perfect for watching glorious sunrises from under artfully strewn sheets with a warm coffee. Some of the best shots can be taken from inside, looking out through the huge triangular windows, (try and get the towering ladder in shot) but A Frame really comes into its own as it basks in the last golden rays at sunset. Recline on the wooden loungers at the edge of the deck with rolling hills in front of you, and the dramatic angles of the cabin behind to capture a moment of beauty that you’ll never forget.

The Carn

As soon as you arrive, you’ll earmark the perfect place for an envy-inducing shot – The Carn’s stunning sunken outdoor bath surrounded by lanterns. Once you’ve spent a few hours settling into your eco cabin, with its huge veranda and beautiful views across the Herefordshire hills, you’ll start to notice all of the other smaller, equally Insta-fabulous details that deserve their own moment on the grid. The earthy hexagonal terracotta tiles, the outdoor shower, the wicker hanging chair and abundance of plants. It doesn’t just look good, it feels good – The Carn can accommodate five people and has every home comfort you could wish for including blissfully comfy beds, underfloor heating, welcome goodies and a well equipped kitchen.

Oaken Fort

It’s unlikely that you’ll know many people who have stayed in their very own private glamping fort (drawbridge included, crowns optional), so this is content as its freshest. This handcrafted, wood-clad fairytale stronghold is dramatically imposing from the front, regally luxurious inside, and the sweeping valley views from the picture window will take your breath away. Once you’ve regained your composure, head down the gravel path to set up the perfect shot of blissful hot tub relaxation with staggering views over miles of rolling Welsh countryside. No shoot would be complete without photographic evidence of the outdoor shower, roll top copper bath and outdoor look out bar.

The River Lodge

When you find yourself in a riverside setting this scenic, selfies are obligatory. As well as taking photos of yourselves in front of your gorgeous Yorkshire cabin, try and encourage a few photobombs from some of the resident wildlife which include otters, sea trout and kingfishers. In this utterly secluded, romantic setting, they’ll be the only ones intruding on your privacy. The obligatory shots of mouth watering BBQs and blissful outdoor baths on the deck are a must, but the view from the kingsize bed through the sliding doors to the river beyond is something you’ll want to cherish forever so remember to capture it on camera.

At The Pond

There are freestanding indoor baths, there are outdoor roll top baths, there are atmospheric hot tubs with breathtaking views, but there’s nothing quite like At The Pond. The sunken bath dropped into the deck of this Somerset cabin feels so close to the idyllic swimming pond below you’ll feel like you're practically in the water. Except yours is blissfully warm. Take the ultimate Instagrammable shot of your back-to-nature bath time in the warm orange light at sunset, with the tranquil water of the pond stretching out beyond. It’s pure magic in real life and on the screen. For a bit of creative juxtaposition, get another shot of the moment you took a running leap from the deck into the chilly waters of the pond earlier that day!
