Treehouse stays don’t have to be reserved for special occasion splurges. Across the UK, there are beautifully built, nature-wrapped escapes that sit comfortably under the £200 per night mark. From stargazing tubs to quiet woodland mornings with panoramic canopy views, these cheap treehouse holidays in the UK offer all the magic of sleeping in the treetops, without the premium price tag. Here are eight of our favourite elevated stays that combine character, comfort and great value.

1. Cleave Treehouse, Devon

Prices starting from £158 per night

Six and a half metres above the ground, Cleave Treehouse delivers big views looking out over rolling green farmland, a winding stream and serious comfort. What makes this such good value is how much you get in one stay: a wood burner with unlimited logs, hotel level bathroom comforts and a two-person outdoor bath. With everything on site, it’s easy to keep extra spending low while still enjoying a properly indulgent break.

When it comes to cooking, you can either whip something up in your sleek galley kitchen, or over fire in the Kotlich pot – perfect for low-cost, campfire dinners in without needing to head out to eat.

2. The Shellter, Suffolk

Prices starting from £100 per night

The Shellter is one of the most affordable treehouse stays on the list, but it doesn’t skimp on atmosphere. Set beside your own private lake and surrounded by trees, this peaceful Suffolk hideaway is designed for slow days and simple pleasures.

A firepit, wood burner, balcony dining area and hammock mean you can spend entire days relaxing without needing to go anywhere. Hosts provide fresh eggs, fruit and homemade treats, helping keep food costs low while adding thoughtful touches to your stay. With beaches just 20 minutes away, you’ve got the option to venture out, but it’s just as tempting to stay put and watch the water ripple by the fire.

3. Uplands Treehouse, Bristol

Prices starting from £182 per night

Uplands Treehouse offers countryside calm and far-reaching Mendips views at a refreshingly accessible price point. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with light, while the balcony gives you front row seats to sunsets on one side and alpacas grazing on the other.

While the outside set up is perfect for al fresco drinks, the wood burner and generous sofa make winter stays just as appealing. With private woodland trails starting right outside your door and plenty to do at the treehouse, it’s easy to build a full, low-cost escape without relying on restaurants or attractions. Instead, enjoy the simple pleasures of slow mornings and cosy evenings in.

4. Two Pines, Northamptonshire

Prices starting from £174 per night

Set within a 90-acre nature reserve, Two Pines offers space and privacy. You’re surrounded by woodland, open land and walking trails, giving you an entire landscape to explore without paying entrance fees or travelling far.

Inside and out, there’s plenty included to keep costs down while comfort stays high. An outdoor copper bath, full kitchen, pizza oven, firepit grill and veranda dining area mean you can cook, relax and unwind entirely on site. After a day of wandering the reserve, you can return to candlelit dinners and treetop views rather than heading out to spend more.

5. Treehouse at Beneath the Branches, Sussex

Prices starting from £184 per night

This tucked away treehouse is ideal for guests who want to settle in and slow down without overspending. With a modern kitchen, indoor roll-top tub and outdoor bath, you can enjoy indulgent comforts while keeping day-to-day costs low.

Surrounded by wildlife and woodland, it’s easy to fill your time with simple pleasures like wandering the nearby countryside, watching frogs leap about your private pond, reading on the sofa, cooking big, shared meals, playing board games. Add in river trips at Amberley and sunset picnics, and you’ve got a stay built around low cost, high reward experiences.

6. Beudy Banc Treehouse, Powys

Prices starting from £116 per night

Sat among the trees with a stream flowing beneath, Beudy Banc offers a simple, off-grid style stay that keeps things focused on nature. Inside, there’s a double bed, wood burner by the sofa, modern bathroom and cooking hobs, giving you everything needed for comfortable evenings in.

With no wifi and woodland right outside your door, most days naturally revolve around walking, cycling and exploring the surrounding countryside. The farm sits in one of the UK’s best mountain biking areas, with forest trails and Glyndwr’s Way passing nearby, so it’s well suited to guests who want adventure on tap without paying attraction prices.

7. Cherry Nest, Leicestershire

Prices starting from £189 per night

With space to sleep four and a wood-fired hot tub included in the price, Cherry Nest offers standout value for families and small groups. Set on a working farm in within 11 acres of woodland in the heart of England, it combines countryside calm with easy access to nearby towns, canals and outdoor activity centres.

Inside, you’ll find a king-size bed, modern kitchen and cosy living space, making it easy to prepare meals on site rather than relying on restaurants. Sauna sessions can be booked during your stay, and with Ullswater and classic Lake District walking routes within easy reach, there’s plenty to explore without travelling far.

8. Above the Woodshed, Cumbria

Prices starting from £155 per night

Set beside its own private woodland, Above the Woodshed offers full immersion in nature at a price that feels refreshingly realistic for the Lake District. With minimal trees felled around the build, you’ve got privacy and forest views straight from your balcony.

There’s lots to enjoy here without leaving the site. Morning walks around the pond, sauna sessions and cosy evenings by the wood burner all come included in the setting. Inside, the modern kitchen makes it easy to cook in, keeping daily spend low while comfort stays high. With Ullswater and fell walks within easy reach, this is a strong option for guests wanting big scenery on a sensible budget.
