Can I go glamping near London by train?

Where are the best places to go glamping near London?

That depends what sort of weekend you're after. Sussex and Surrey are brilliant for walking and cosy pubs, Kent is packed with vineyards, orchards and farm shops, Hampshire offers the ancient woodland of the New Forest, while Essex surprises visitors with peaceful waterways, wildlife and enormous skies. Oxfordshire and Berkshire add riverside villages, beautiful countryside and plenty of excellent places to stop for lunch. 

What should I pack for a glamping trip?

Most of our stays have proper beds, kitchens and everything you'll need for a comfortable stay, so you can pack much lighter than you would for camping. We'd recommend walking boots, a waterproof, a warm jumper for evenings around the firepit, swimwear if your stay has a hot tub or outdoor bath, and a little extra room for anything you fancy at the local farm shop. 

Is glamping suitable all year round?

Definitely. Summer is made for breakfast outdoors and evenings around the firepit. Autumn brings golden woodland and crisp walks, winter is all about wood burners and steaming hot tubs, while spring fills the countryside with blossom, birdsong and newborn lambs. Every season gives these landscapes a different personality.

Is glamping near London good for a last-minute weekend away?

Very. Finish work on Friday, throw a bag in the boot or hop on a train and, before long, you could be sitting beside a firepit with a glass of wine while London carries on perfectly happily without you. Sometimes the best weekends are the ones you almost didn't book.
