How far are your cabins from London?

Many of our cabins are within one to two hours of London, making them ideal for spontaneous weekends away when you need a quick reset. Places like Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Essex and Hertfordshire all offer countryside that feels wonderfully removed from the capital without demanding a full day's travel.  

Can I travel to a cabin from London by train?

Absolutely. Many of our cabins are easy to reach by train followed by a short taxi ride, so you can leave the car at home altogether. It's one of the simplest ways to swap city life for countryside without spending time behind the wheel. 

Why are cabins so special?

Cabins help you slow down and offer a genuine connection to the landscape. After waking to swallows nesting outside your window, spending the afternoon paddleboarding on a private lake, stretching out in a lakeside sauna, or simply settling into a chair beside enormous picture windows with nothing more demanding than spotting the next deer wandering past, you'll understand how a few days in nature can reset your entire week.  

What should I pack for a cabin holiday from London?

Most of our cabins have proper kitchens, comfortable beds and everything you'll need for a cosy stay, so there's no need to pack like you're heading off on an expedition. We'd recommend walking boots, a waterproof, a warm jumper for evenings outside, swimwear if your cabin has a hot tub or outdoor bath, and enough room in your bag for whatever you find in the local farm shop. 

Are cabins good all year round?

Definitely. Summer is made for breakfast on the deck and evenings around the BBQ. Autumn fills the woods with colour, winter is all about wood burners, crisp walks and steaming hot tubs, while spring arrives with blossom, birdsong and countryside waking back up. Cabin holidays are one of those rare escapes that genuinely suit every season. 

Are cabins near London good for last-minute weekends away?

Very. Finish work on Friday, throw a bag over your shoulder and, before long, you could be sitting outside your cabin listening to an owl instead of your neighbour's television. Sometimes the best weekends are the ones you almost didn't book.
