Glamping near Manchester

Manchester isn’t just the gateway to the north, it’s the gateway to the wild. Swap the roar of football fans for melodic birdsong, and the buzz of Salford Quays for rolling green hills and babbling streams.

Within two hours of the metropolis, you’ll find remote shepherds’ huts, tranquil treehouses and cosy cabins – all without a soul in sight apart from the occasional sheep. What you do while you’re immersed in nature is entirely up to you. Laze for hours in meltingly warm hot tubs, go for bracing hikes up craggy fells or stroll to the nearest thatched pub for a hearty roast.

About glamping near Manchester

Where can I stay near/within 2 hours of Manchester?

Leave the bustle and traffic of Manchester behind and you’re soon out into glorious countryside with Derbyshire, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District within easy reach.  Choose from a colourful cabin with a stream flowing underneath, a cosy shepherd’s hut near the Pennine Way or even a luxury yurt with underfloor heating. They’re all in the heart of some of the finest walking countryside in the UK.

How do I find the perfect space for me?

Our glamping spaces are as unique as our audience. One person’s idea of perfection might be a luxury treehouse packed with mod cons, while someone else’s is an off-grid cabin lost on the moors with a compost loo. There’s plenty of information on our website but if you’d rather talk to a human about your wish list, just give our brilliant Guest Experience Team a call. We don’t like to brag but they’ve got an average satisfaction score of 91% over the last 3 years.

How we inspect all our glamping places?
As a company based around incredible experiences in nature, we don’t rely too heavily on desk research. Instead, we pack our overnight bags, stride out into the wild and inspect each one of our glamping spaces in person. We’re not only vetting them for comfort and style, we also pick the owners’ encyclopaedic brains on the best activities, festivals, pubs and restaurants locally.

What’s our expertise?

At Canopy & Stars, we’ve been exploring the coast and countryside for almost 15 years to find you the most creative and inspiring places to stay.  We’ve travelled beyond UK shores and into Europe to discover stylish shepherd’s huts in verdant French valleys and quirky cabins perched on Spanish mountain sides. All of our glamping spaces have a deep connection with nature and we’re committed to protecting the environment in partnership with our owners.
