This is a city that has always looked towards the outdoors, with some of Britain's best countryside beginning just beyond the ring road. With our collection of glamping stays near Bristol, in less than two hours you could be enjoying a local cider while taking in views of the Somerset levels, canoeing your way down the wye valley or wandering the dramatic cliffs of Cheddar Gorge before returning to your own peaceful corner of nature.

You'll find unique treehouses and cabins designed so that the best entertainment is whatever happens to wander past the window and shepherd's huts where breakfast comes from the farm next door. In other words, exactly the kind of escapes that make it easy to leave the city behind.

Things to do when glamping near Bristol

FAQs for glamping near Bristol

How far are your glamping places from Bristol?

Many of our glamping places are within one to two hours of Bristol, making them ideal for spontaneous weekends away. Whether you're heading into Somerset, the Cotswolds, Wiltshire, South Wales, the Wye Valley or the Forest of Dean, you'll spend less time travelling and more time outdoors.

Where are the best places to go glamping near Bristol?

If you're looking for woodland walks and peaceful countryside, Somerset is hard to beat. For beautiful villages, the Cotswolds are a favourite, while the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley offer ancient woodland, rivers and excellent cycling. South Wales is another brilliant option for mountain scenery, waterfalls and dramatic landscapes, all within easy reach of Bristol.

What should I pack for a glamping trip?

Most of our glamping places provide proper beds, kitchens and everything you'll need for a comfortable stay, so you can pack much lighter than you would for camping. We'd recommend comfortable walking shoes, layers and a good jumper for evenings around the firepit, swimwear if your stay has a hot tub or outdoor bath, or private swimming lake and a torch if you're staying somewhere off-grid.

Is glamping suitable all year round?

Absolutely. Summer is perfect for outdoor cooking, swimming and long evenings around the fire pit, while autumn and winter bring misty woodland walks, cosy log burners and stargazing from hot tubs. Spring is one of our favourite seasons too, with wildflowers, the joyful sight on lambs prancing about the fields, and quieter countryside before the summer rush.

What types of glamping can I book near Bristol?

Our collection includes treehouses, cabins, shepherd's huts, yurts, vintage caravans, safari tents, converted horseboxes and beautifully designed off-grid hideaways. Whether you're planning a romantic weekend, celebrating a special occasion or simply escaping the city for a couple of nights, there's something to suit every kind of adventure.

Is glamping near Bristol good for a last-minute weekend away?

Yes. Because many of our places are within easy driving distance or a quick train journey, they're ideal for those Fridays when you've had enough of emails and fancy waking up somewhere surrounded by trees instead. If you're flexible with dates, you'll often find availability for spontaneous countryside escapes.
