Artist and architect Claudia Robalino has spent her career examining how people interact with and experience the natural world, from the Huaorani of the Amazon to the residents of the biggest cities. In this short film, she shares her response to the peace of a woodland in contrast to her London home, exploring the calming influence of nature’s more subtle stimuli on her mood and her creative process.
These are extracts from a wide-ranging conversation we had with Claudia, covering her move from Quito to London, nature’s effect on her creative process, its place in modern architecture and the challenges we face as a society.
