How far are your cabins from Birmingham?

Many of our cabins are within one to two hours of Birmingham, making them perfect for spontaneous long weekends away or even a two-night reset. Instead of staying in and bingeing a boxset this weekend, you could be surrounded by woodland, overlooking rolling hills or waking up beside a peaceful lake. 

Where are the best places to escape to from Birmingham?

One of Birmingham's greatest strengths is its location (no – seriously!) Just an hour or two outside the city, you’ll find The Malvern Hills, perfect for panoramic walks, Herefordshire is full of orchards, cider farms and quiet country lanes, while Shropshire offers rolling hills, ancient woodland and charming market towns. Venture a little further and you'll reach the Wye Valley, the Forest of Dean, the Cotswolds or even rural Mid Wales, all ideal cabin country.

What can I do at a cabin getaway near Birmingham?

As much or as little as you like. Walk straight from your front door, borrow bikes to explore quiet country lanes, paddle rivers, browse village independents and farm shops, or simply spend the afternoon in a hammock listening to birds you've been too busy to notice lately. Plenty of our cabins also come with hot tubs, firepits, outdoor baths, private lakes, and boardgames stacked up next to wood burners for the moments when doing absolutely nothing sounds most appealing. 

What should I pack for a cabin holiday from Birmingham?

Most of our cabins have proper kitchens, comfortable beds and everything you'll need for a cosy stay, so you can travel light. We'd recommend walking boots, a waterproof (this is still Britain), a warm layer for evenings outside, swimwear if your cabin has a hot tub, outdoor bath or private swimming lake, and enough room for whatever irresistible things you discover in the local farm shop. 

Are cabins good all year round?

Definitely. Summer brings breakfast on the deck and long evenings around the firepit. Autumn fills the woods with colour and crisp walking weather. Winter is all about wood burners, hot tubs and star-filled skies, while spring arrives with birdsong, blossom and countryside waking back up after the colder months. Cabins are one of those rare holidays that genuinely suit every season.
