About cabins in Northumberland with Canopy & Stars

Who we are

We’re a small, Bristol-based company who champion the kind of independent travel that immerses you in the landscape. We spend more time in our walking boots than out of them, exploring wild corners of the UK and Europe to bring you unique, weird, wonderful (and surprisingly luxurious) glamping places. Last year we were named Most Ethical Travel Booking Site by Ethical Consumer and we’re committed to promoting responsible, sustainable travel.

Why are cabins so special?

On a cabin holiday, you’ll tap back into that nostalgic camping feeling but in blissful comfort and warmth (if you get your kicks shivering under canvas you might want to look elsewhere). Deep relaxation in staggeringly gorgeous surroundings is the best sabbatical from the stresses of modern life. Throw in a crackling fire pit, bubbling hot tub, free range wildlife and views to die for and you’ll discover the joy of doing very little… but doing it exceptionally well.

Cabin holidays with Canopy & Stars

Our owners put the creativity back into cabin holidays. They’re also partial to including the quirky, the unexpected, the delicious and, ever-increasingly, the hot tub. They do all this off-the-beaten track, in harmony with nature and with an attention-to-detail that fills each place with warmth and charm. At Canopy & Stars we’re a discerning bunch, and we only accept 20% of applications we receive to join our collection, so you know you’re going to get something special.

Is Northumberland worth visiting?

You’ll be raving about the delights of Northumberland to anyone who will listen after your visit. Just don’t tell too many people. From the dramatic, pristine beaches of Budle Bay and Bamburgh to the mighty Chillingham castle and the ruins of Dunstanburgh – it boasts breathtaking scenery. Also, there’s Hogwarts (OK, Alnwick Castle) so it’s officially magical. With so many wide open spaces, there are endless adventures to be had whether you fancy surfing, coastal kayaking, bird watching, forest zip lining or mountain biking.
