Cabins in Somerset

Grab some vintage cheddar and west country cider and hunker down in a cabin in Somerset, perched among gently rolling hills and contented sheep. There’s ancient magic in the air, Georgian splendour around every corner and the sort of idyllic pastoral scenery that makes you want to jack it all in and get a job on the farm. Our playful cabin hideaways give you instant access to Somerset’s abundant wildlife and stunning nature trails while being within easy access of Bristol, Bath and Exeter.

Why book a cabin in Somerset with Canopy & Stars?

We’re a humble bunch at Canopy & Stars, but we do like to toot our own trumpets when it comes to cabin holidays. We’ve lost count of the number we’ve visited and inspected over the years, but it’s a lot, and we’ve become experts in finding you that magic combination of quirky charm, luxury and immediate access to nature. Our Somerset cabins specialise in tingles of excitement every time you wake up to the sound of birdsong and throw open the doors to welcome in the fresh country air.

About cabins in Somerset with Canopy & Stars

Who we are

Canopy & Stars are a small, independent travel company who live and breathe unique places to stay in the great outdoors. It's our mission to help our guests to live a life more wild – not under a tent canvas but in stunning glamping places that feature incredible design and weird and wonderful features. We’re employee owned, B-corp certified and have a charitable trust that supports environmental and social causes.

Why are cabins so special?

You can do as little or as much as you like on a peaceful cabin holiday. From bustling foodie markets, picturesque walks and lively towns, there’s plenty to keep you busy in Somerset but sometimes it’s nice to do nothing at all. Especially when nothing means a slow, simple routine of hot tub dips, coffees in the fresh air and cosy evenings playing board games in front of the wood burner.

Cabin holidays with Canopy & Stars

Relaxed, good living with a few decadent extras awaits you on a cabin holiday. Our Somerset collection includes a sunken tub overlooking a pond, a curved den with its own luxurious circular bathroom, a fairy tale log cabin and many others – typically with a side order of free-roaming farm animals and indulgent hot tubs. We personally inspect every place, staying overnight for the full experience to make sure they meet our high standards.

Is Somerset worth visiting?

Get ready for a winning combination of spectacular walks along the Mendip Way, visits to beautiful Bath and mystic moments at Glastonbury Tor. Not to mention the dramatic Cheddar Gorge, the UK’s smallest city of Wells and a wealth of adrenaline pumping activities to try at Rock Outdoors or Mendip Activity Centre. As you explore Somerset, you’re never far from a festival, farm shop, distillery or historic house and gardens.
