Cabins in the Lake District

One of the best places to experience a cabin has to be The Lake District! Whether you’re planning on taking on the massive mountains for hikes, strolls around the many, many lakes or even just planning a quiet retreat where you simply sit in, grab a good book and a glass of something – this is the place to do it, and these are the cabins to retire back to at the end of the day. We have something or everyone in the collection, so just take a browse, look for those covered decks, or gorgeous firepit areas, and pick one that has your name on it!

Who we are

We’re an independent company, finding special places to glamp since 2010 – so you could say, we’ve been around a little, seen a few cabins with hot tubs in our time. We try and find owners who have a real connection with the land, where the space has a low impact on the environment – or even better, helps preserve the land it’s on! It’s not just in our owners we try and focus on sustainability. We have a charitable trust to help support organisations that work to help climate conservation – and you can read about our work here.

Why cabins though?

That’s exactly the kind of question someone who hasn’t stayed in cabin WOULD ask. If you’ve been to one, you’d know a cabin is unlike any other kind of space. Who could argue against rocking chairs on the porch, reading books by the wood burner or watching wildlife from your al fresco breakfast table? No two cabins are the same, but the experience will be very similar. It’s one of bathing in wild, deep relaxation and effortless fun.

Cabin holidays with C&S

There are just too many reasons to mention all of them here. But if we looked at the most vital – it’d have to be our inspections. There’s nothing worse than seeing a beautiful space and arriving to find… well. Not what you expected. That’s why we inspect each of our spaces personally, so you know that view’s as good as it looks, the bed as comfy and (if it has one) the hot tub – hot.

Why the Lake District?

There’s nowhere else in the UK that looks like The Lake District, quite possibly, the world. With soaring peaks, and wide, sweeping valleys – dotted with stunning lakes, it’s incredibly picturesque. There’s flora and fauna you can’t find anywhere else, and phenomenal eateries that’re serving local and seasonal food. There’s no substitute for experiencing it yourself – and most of all, experiencing it from a cabin.
