Our wildest dreams: Plans for next year

When we’re not out on the road, we’re thinking about our next trip. Sometimes we do some work, but mostly we just stare out of the windows and dream of being outdoors. Here are a few places that have been drifting through our minds as we ignore the background noise of email pings and task reminders...

I can’t seem to get enough of Wales at the moment, so I’ve got my eye on the Cwtch Woodland Camp. It’s the perfect location for exploring the beautiful coastline of Pembrokeshire, and after a day of hiking I’d happily soothe my legs in the sauna. Plus who doesn’t want to visit somewhere that has hug in the name??

I am dreaming of a quiet retreat to the Lake District next summer with fresh air, sunshine and picnics. Wild swimming is my absolute favourite, so I am already plotting out some lakes for a dip! After a day splashing around in the river… I will be watching a beautiful sunset with wet hair and a cone of chips in hand. I can’t wait.

A lot of my job involves seeing the new spaces we have every week, so I see a constant carousel of beautiful cabins, treehouses, yurts, shepherd’s huts etc, constantly coming my way. In October, I’m off the The Carn, but my next pick might be somewhere a lot more remote! I’d love to visit our new Ecotone Cabinsnear Ullapool, where the owner has put a lot of work into rewilding this beautiful area on the shores of a Loch. But one of our older spaces also catches my eye – The Hütte, as what views to wake up to! Plus, it’s wonderfully secluded, an incredible place to enjoy some downtime.

I’ve been dreaming of a weekend at Bowcombe Boathouse since it joined the collection! We usually head to South Devon once a year and I think 2023 might be the year we stay at this wonderful boathouse. I love the idea of spending mornings on the balcony, watching the world pass by. Salcombe is also one of my favourite towns in the UK so it's in the perfect location.

I’ve got my eye on Red Squirrel Cabin. It is up in the North West of Scotland and is the ideal base to explore the highlands. The views of Loch Broom are stunning! It seems so peaceful and the perfect place to switch off. I’ve been to Torridon before and it’s got me hooked on that part of Scotland so would love to revisit!
