Cabins in Scotland

Cabins and Scotland were made for each other. There are parts of the country that stand alongside the world’s most popular travel destinations for unspoilt natural beauty, and a good remote cabin douses you in that woodsmoke smell and puts you right at the heart of them. Our job is to find the ones where you can feel the love that’s gone into creating them and the instant connection they provide with the drama of the Scottish wilderness.

About cabins in Scotland

How rustic are your cabins? Will I have to hunt my food and wear animal skins? We have a variety of cabins in Scotland, all of them built by different people and special in their own way. They range from pretty sophisticated, with underfloor heating and jacuzzis, to simpler stuff where it’s just you and a wood burner. You won’t have to hunt for food or warmth, unless you really want to. We recommend rolling an onion along the floor and chasing after it before you cook it, which is good for a bit of both.

What if I'm not sure which one to pick? If you can’t decide which cabin is for you, then get in touch. We’ve been to every single place we work with, even the ones way off in the highlands and islands of Scotland. You can drop us an email or call and one of the team will be able to talk you through your options. There are no automated help lines and no stock responses, just real people who’ll sort you out.

Who are you people anyway? We’re an independent, Bristol-based company that have been happily glamping since 2012 and our parent company Sawday’s has been in travel since the 90s. We believe that travel can and should be a force for good – encouraging connection with nature, contributing to local communities and giving our guests experiences that they’ll treasure. We look for places where all these things come together. If there happens to be a hot tub and some free gin, all the better.

What's so great about you? Well, we’re not saying we’re great, but we try. We plant trees for every booking, are part-owned by a charitable trust that supports environmental causes and were one of the very first B Corp travel companies in the UK. We’re always looking at ways of making our business more sustainable, a better place to work and a more effective tool for social and environmental change. We’re only a small company, but we work with a lot of inspiring groups to try and make a big difference.
